IPC Alpine Skiing Calendar Released

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has released the Alpine Skiing competition calendar for the 2011-2012 season, which includes a European and World Cup.

An invitation has been sent out for the first Northern Hemisphere competition of the season, Slalom at SnowWorld, Landgraaf, the Netherlands from 14-18 November .

The European Cup begins in Pitztal, Germany from 9-11 December, then continues on to Kuethai in Austria, Sestriere in Italy, Abtenau in Austria, Tignes in France, Spindleruv Mlyn in the Czech Republic, with the finals taking place in Auron, France from 26-30 March.

Arte Terme in Italy will host the first World Cup event from 25-27 January with Giant Slalom and Slalom events, followed by Super-Combined and Super-G in La Molina, Spain, Giant Slalom and Slalom in Winter Park, USA, with the finals of all races in Panorama, Canada from 13-16 March.
