Slovakia’s Jakub Krako had a good performance in his comeback season, winning three medals at the World Para Alpine Skiing Championships in Tarvisio, Italy.

Not totally recovered from his two knee injuries, the four-time Paralympic champion is hoping to add more medals to his tally at next year’s Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Here, Krako shares his three most memorable moments from 2017.

1. My bronze medal in Tarvisio

“When I was sick in Tarvisio on the last day, I finished my first run, and I thought that I could be better, and I should be better. But it wasn’t possible; I came in third.”

2. South Korea was great

“PyeongChang was perfectly prepared. I loved it.”

3. Working with my guide Branislav Brozman

“Meeting Branislav was not only important for my season but also my future.”
