Last Alpine Skiing Regional Cup Races of Season Conclude

The last races of the 2008/2009 IPC Alpine Skiing European Cup are currently underway in Jasna, Slovakia. After three successful European Cup events in Pitztal, Kühtai (both Austria), and Solleftea, Sweden, more than 120 athletes from 15 countries gathered in Jasna to complete the European Cup.

The following athletes made it to the podium of the Super-G on 26 March:

Women's Visually Impaired Category:

1 - Henrieta Farkasova (SVK) with guide Natalia Surtova

2 - Alexandra Frantseva (RUS) with guide Polina Popova

3 - Myya Simanova (RUS) with guide Anna Ivanova

Women's Sitting Category:

1 – Linnea Ranudd (SWE)

2 – Daila Dameno (ITA)

3 – Jane Sowerby (GBR)

Women's Standing Category:

1 – Andrea Rothfuss (GER)

2 - Melania Corradini (ITA)

3 - Danja Haslacher (AUT)

Men's Visually Impaired Category:

1 – Radomir Dudas (SVK) with guide Maros Hudik

2 – Norbert Holik (SVK) with guide Lubos Bosela

3 - Michal Beladic (SVK) with guide Martin Pavlak

Men's Sitting Category:

1 – Thomas Nolte (GER)

2 – Yohann Taberlet (FRA)

3 – Russell Docker (GBR)

Men's Standing Category:

1 – Kevin Wermeester (GER)

2 – Martin Franc (SVK)

3 – Bart Verbruggen (NED)

The European Cup Finals continue until Sunday with another Super-G, a Super Combined, a Giant Slalom, and a Slalom event.
