National Goalball Championships to Take Place in Iran

From 12 to 16 July, the National Championships in Goalball will be held in Tehran, Iran. A total of 86 Male and 42 Female teams from different parts of Iran will participate in the Championships which will be held in ten different sport venues in the city.

With the participation of around 800 male and female athletes as well as 700 related coaches and support staff, these National Championships will be considered as the biggest Goalball event before the beginning of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games in September.

A colourful Opening Ceremony of the Championships will be held in the evening of 13 July in the one of the biggest Sportive Complex in Iran called AZADI.
