New Paralympian Fully Redesigned

08 Jun 2010 By IPC

The official magazine of the Paralympic Movement, The Paralympian, has been fully redesigned inside and out.

Now in a magazine layout, readers can turn each page and comfortably locate various content elements. In addition, photographs have taken priority, in the effort to give a better visual representation of the events and competitions in the Paralympic Movement.

This issue of The Paralympian features an extensive look at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, with interviews from athletes and various representatives from the Paralympic Movement. In addition, sport profiles from each of the five Paralympic Winter sports (Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Cross-Country Skiing, Ice Sledge Hockey and Wheelchair Curling) were included, with results and performances from the recent Games.

Also for this issue, the history of Classification was outlined in the Medical and Science section to give readers a background on an important subject in Paralympic Sport. Other returning sections include Future Games, NPC Profile, Partners and Patrons, Education and Development, Athlete Profile, News in Sport and Picking the Vault.
