NPC Belgium president re-elected to Olympic post

At the same time, Philippe Rogge, son of IOC President Jacques Rogge, was elected Vice President of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee.

On 31 May, Anne d’Ieteren, President of the Belgian Paralympic Committee since 2009, was re-elected as a member of the Governing Board of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee, composed of 16 members.

D’Ieteren, a former dressage champion, has been representing equestrian since 1985 on the Board and has been the head of NPC Belgium since 2009.

It is an undeniable fact that under her strong leadership the Belgian Paralympic Movement has produced an unprecedented boost in the last four years.

During last week’s election, only seven-time Olympic athlete Jean-Michel Saive (table tennis ) received more votes than D’Ieteren.

At the same time, Philippe Rogge, son of IOC President Jacques Rogge, was elected Vice President of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee.

Current President of the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee, Pierre-Olivier Beckers, was re-elected unanimously for another four-year term.
