The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Croatia launched the Paralympian Foundation on Tuesday (4 December) with a fundraising event in Zagreb, Croatia.

With only 2 per cent of people with an impairment being engaged in sport in the country, Croatian Paralympic athletes have gathered an impressive 14 Paralympic medals in the 20 years of participation in the Paralympic Games.

To build further on this success, NPC Croatia created the Paralympian Foundation to raise funds and resources to support sports for people with an impairment giving individuals the chance to actively support the Paralympic Movement.

Ratko Kovacic, President of NPC Croatia, said: "I am proud of our athletes. Every day they push their own boundaries and prove to be the real athletes.
