NPCs to Nominate Schools for the London 2012 School Twinning Programme

The London 2012 Organizing Committee (LOCOG) is calling on National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) worldwide to nominate schools in their country for the London 2012 School Twinning Programme. The deadline for nomination is coming up on Friday, 29 April.

The School Twinning Programme is part of the Get Set, the official educational programme of LOCOG. Since September 2011, Get Set has gone global to encourage young people around the world to get involved with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Get Set offers a wide range of flexible, interactive learning materials, which are designed to help schools world wide get excited about and prepare for the London 2012 Games.

The London 2012 Paralympic Games will be staged from 29 August to 12 September in the British capital. Around 4,200 athletes from 150 different countries are expected to compete for the gold, silver and bronze medals.
