Para Sport Sweden extends agreement with major partners

Hotel chain Scandic extended its collaboration agreement with Para Sport Sweden for four years, whilst travel agency Grand Travel Group signed a two-year extension. 25 Nov 2016

“The great achievements made by the athletes in Para sport deserve more recognition and attention.”

Para Sport Sweden (PSS), which comprises the Swedish Paralympic Committee (SPC), the Swedish Para sports Federation and Special Olympics Sweden, has extended its collaboration agreements with two of its main partners.

A four-year extension was signed with hotel chain Scandic, whilst a two-year one was signed with travel agency Grand Travel Group.

“We have been working together with Para Sport Sweden for nearly ten years to make Para sport visible,” said Scandic Sponsor and Partnership Manager Mathias Kemi. “The great achievements made by the athletes in Para sport deserve more recognition and attention.”

Scandic will also host the annual Swedish Para Sports Awards, whose first edition will take place in February 2017.

As for the agreement with Grand Travel Group, Para Sport Sweden Secretary General Johan Strid said: “[It is] Very important. Grand Travel Group efforts make a big difference for us because every year is intense, we travel very much and need tailored solutions. Therefore, we consider this cooperation agreement extremely valuable.”

Dick Lidman, Grand Travel Group CEO, added: “We are really looking forward to continue working together with Para Sports Sweden.”
