Paralympics New Zealand Appoints Performance Analyst

Jason Healy appointed as PNZ Performance Analyst 26 May 2011 By IPC

Paralympics New Zealand has appointed Jason Healy as PNZ Performance Analyst.

Fiona Pickering, Chief Executive of Paralympics New Zealand, said that the Performance Analyst role compliments and enhances the High Performance expertise within Paralympics New Zealand.

“Through his role at NZASNI, Jason has been working as a contractor with PNZ since March 2006 in the area of performance and technique analysis. We are excited to be in the position to secure Jason in a full time specialist role to further develop a world leading Paralympic Performance Analysis programme”, says Pickering.

“The Performance Analysis programme will be clearly linked to supporting athletes winning medals at World Championships and London 2012 Paralympic Games”.

Malcolm Humm, PNZ Performance Director is thrilled with the appointment of Jason. “He will continue to provide support to PNZ High Performance Athletes and Coaches, whilst working with individual Programme Directors in the sports of Bike, Swimming and Athletics. He will develop and maintain athlete performance records and maintain a GAP to Podium Analysis strategy for all PNZ High Performance athletes.

“He will lead PNZ sports technology projects and will establish a Paralympic specific Research Programme”, says Humm.

Jason will be based at the Paralympics New Zealand offices in Auckland and will commence in the role on 4 July 2011.
