The Canadian Paralympic Committee, Chef de Mission Gaétan Tardif and Assistant Chef de Mission Elisabeth Walker-Young today announced the Mission Staff for the London 2012 Paralympic Games and the Guadalajara 2011 Parapan American Games - including top experts in their field and two prominent Paralympic medallists.

Chantal Petitclerc one of the most accomplished track athletes of all time, moves in to a new role as Athlete Services Officer, following her retirement from Paralympic competition with 21 Paralympic medals, including 14 gold.

Swimmer Kirby Côté has won 13 Paralympic Games medals and is also an Athlete Services Officer. Petitclerc and Côté will focus on directly supporting Canadian athletes, pre-Games, during and immediately post-Games.

Dr. Richard Goudie, a sports medicine physician, has been named Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Goudie works with the women's national wheelchair basketball team and is a veteran of eight international multi-sport Games, including the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games and 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
