With regards to the women’s competition, the clash between the USA and Germany is set up to be a dream match, as it will showcase some of the world’s best players.

Record attendances at both the Basketball Arena and the North Greenwhich Arena are expected to continue to watch another exciting day of wheelchair basketball.

The men’s match between Japan and Poland is set up to be an exciting encounter as both have differing styles and posses strong shooters which should result in a high scoring game.

Poland had to endure a tricky encounter against Colombia and Japan came up short against Canada, so both teams will be looking turn on style in this anticipated match.

Germany’s men’s team will be looking to build upon their victory over the host nation, as they take on Paralympic newcomers to this event, Colombia, who finished second in the American qualifying tournament.

Team USA will be hoping to shake off their surprise defeat against Turkey when they face Italy.

European champions Great Britain will look to bounce back after losing out in a close fought game in their opening match to rivals Germany which finished 75-77. They will be facing Canada, who are two-time gold medalists in both 2000 and 2004, but they had to settle with silver in Beijing, so they will aiming to reclaim that desired gold medal.

The two other men’s matches involve Turkey, who surprised everyone with a victory of the USA on the opening day, as they play an Australian side who will be looking for their second win of the Games.

As 2008 gold medallists, Australia will be looking to make it through Group A will relative ease, but will face tough encounter against team US.

South Africa and Spain will also take to the court, with South Africa hoping for a victory after their opening game defeat to Australia.

With regards to the women’s competition, the clash between the USA and Germany is set up to be a dream match, as it will showcase some of the world’s best players. They both met each other in the gold medal match in Beijing 2008, with the USA clinching the game 50-38.

Canadian star-shooter Janet McLachlan will have sights set on helping her team overcome a strong Netherlands side.

The Netherlands impressed in their opening game, where they shown they were not fazed by the home support as their beat hosts Great Britain 60-35.

Having performed well as hosts in 2008, China will want to replicate that form as they take on France, who are still looking for their first win of the tournament after losing out to the USA 63-24.
