President of Chile wishes team luck ahead of Toronto 2015

Ahead of August’s Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games, Michelle Bachelet, the President of Chile, has hosted a send-off event wishing the many athletes set to take in next month’s event the very best of luck.

Chilean para-athletes who attended the event included Jaun Carlos Garrido (powerlifting), Francisca Castro (swimming), Margarita Faubdez (athletics), Robinson Mendez, Francisco Cayulef, Maria Antonieta Oritz ( all wheelchair tennis), Juan Rodriguez (wheelchair rugby), Matias Pino (boccia) and Emiliano Rios (football 5-a-side).

Following the send-off event, the athletes attended a Canadian National Day celebration organised by the Canadian Embassy in Chile.
