President of the Palestinian Paralympic Committee passes away

“Akram’s sad and untimely passing is a terrible shock"

IPC President Sir Philip Craven said: “Akram’s sad and untimely passing is a terrible shock as he was with the whole Paralympic family at the IPC General Assembly in Athens less than two months ago.

“Akram was such a gentle man living in a nation racked by danger and difficulties. He will be greatly missed by the international sports community and on behalf of the whole Paralympic Movement I would like to pass on my condolences to his family and friends.”
