PyeongChang 2018 launches Chinese website, Weibo account

The PyeongChang Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) launched the official Chinese website and opened the operation of the official account in Weibo, the most renowned social network service platform in China.

 

Beijing, China, was recently announced as the host city of 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and is known as the world’s biggest nation in terms of the number of Internet users (approximately 650 million users).

 

With the launch of new services in Chinese market, POCOG plans to strengthen its online promotion by providing a wide range information about the Games and communicating real-time with the rapidly growing number of winter sports fans in China.

 

To celebrate the launch of the new services, POCOG will hold a special event up to 31 October, encouraging Weibo users to share the launch of PyeongChang 2018’s official account through their own Weibo accounts. A number of gifts will be presented to select winners who excel at promoting the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games.
