Sao Paulo to stage Goalball American Championships

Sao Paulo, Brazil, will be the host city of another major Para sport event as it will stage the 2017 IBSA Goalball American Regional Championships, as announced by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA).

Organised by the Brazilian Confederation of Sports for the Visually Impaired, the regional event will serve as qualifier for the 2018 IBSA World Goalball Championships in Malmo, Sweden, and the 2019 Parapan American Games in Lima, Peru.

It is tentatively schedule for 26 November-3 December and will take place at the Brazilian Paralympic Training Centre.

Sao Paulo already staged three other major Para sport events in 2017: the fourth Youth Parapan American Games, the Para athletics Grand Prix and the second World Para Swimming World Series.
