Sixty-two riders confirmed for equestrian Euros

They will be the first Championships to host para-dressage events alongside able-bodied dressage and jumping events.

The entries have now been finalised for the FEI European Para-Equestrian Championships, which take place from 20-25 August in Herning, Denmark.

They will be the first Championships to host para-dressage events alongside able-bodied dressage and jumping events.

Sixty-two riders from 20 countries will compete.

Twelve nations will field full teams, including: Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway and Russia.

The remaining eight countries that will send individuals include: Belarus, Czech Republic, Israel, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Sweden.

At the 2011 Championships in Moorsele, Belgium, Great Britain won eight of the 11 gold medals available, including the team title. Only Austria’s Pepo Puch, Germany’s Hannelore Brenner and Denmark’s Stinna Kaastrup prevented a British sweep.
