The debut of para-snowboard will highlight Friday’s action at Sochi 2014, a Winter Games that is showing all the signs of being the best the best yet.

The start and finish times for the debut of para-snowboard at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games on Friday (14 March) have been changed.

Originally the races, split into men’s and women’s, were due to start at 10:00 (MSK), but will now begin at 9:30. They will also finish 30 minutes later than scheduled at 12.;0.

The debut of para-snowboard will highlight Friday’s action at Sochi 2014, a Winter Games that is showing all the signs of being the best the best yet.

Around 50 riders with lower-limb impairments will head down the hill for the first time in the snowboard cross races to contest two medal events – one each for men and women.

Each athlete will complete three runs, with the two fastest times taken forward to decide the overall result.
