During the three days from 13-15 April, the Commission will have the opportunity to visit the venues in Sochi and Krasnaya Polyana, as well as look at the progress in a number of Games-related areas including sport, athlete services, media services, transport and culture. Through this visit the Commission will get a full overview of the Games project and allow it to provide guidance for the Sochi team as the world’s spotlight turns to Russia.

Representing the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) during the visit are Commission member and IPC Governing Board member Miguel Sagarra, IPC CEO Xavier Gonzalez and Paralympic Games Senior Manager Thanos Kostopoulos.

Mr. Gonzalez said that he is looking forward to the meeting in Sochi, following the success of the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games.

The Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games will be held from 7-16 March 2014.
