The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) released on 29 June the latest edition of Play True magazine.

Like every edition of the magazine, it includes sections on WADA’s main activities: from anti-doping development to athlete outreach, education to compliance, and science to testing.

In this edition of Play True Magazine, the tireless work of WADA’s former Director General David Howman is covered. After 13 years at the Agency, Howman chose not to seek an extension of his mandate in order to return to his native New Zealand.

The magazine also includes a feature on Russia’s whistleblowers Vitaly and Yuliya Stepanov, who pursue and promote doping-free sport.

WADA’s contributions to testing for gene doping, the Agency’s new power of investigations and a look into the numbers behind all the tests that are performed by WADA laboratories can also be read in this edition.

The new digital-only Play True is released biannually, with the next edition expected at the end of the year.

The online publication is available on WADA’s website, and is fully compatible with all digital devices including iPhone, iPad and Android.
