The Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (WDSA) UK are rebranding to Para Dance UK.

The new focus to the organisation will see important and exciting changes, and will remain the national governing body for Para Dance Sport and inclusive dance professionals in Great Britain, ensuring that “Everyone can dance.”

Para Dance UK will pick up where they left off, developing highly competitive athletes for the international field as well as successfully continuing to run their new instructor course learning system. There will be a new Para Dance Sport focused course added in early 2018.

Patrick McGeough, Chief Executive Officer of Para Dance UK, said: “This change allows us to access more people in the UK. In the last couple of years especially we’ve shifted focus to expand our horizons for us to be open to all disabilities and not just wheelchair users. Changing to Para Dance UK will make that change clearer as well as setting out a clear focus for the many years ahead.”
