Argentina will play host to the Youth Parapan Games for the first time in the event's history.

The Opening Ceremony of the Buenos Aires 2013 Youth Parapan American Games will be streamed live on YouTube on Tuesday, 15 October, at 16.00 local time.

The 2013 Youth Parapan American Games welcome more than 600 athletes from 17 countries with an impairment who are between 14 and 21 years old.

The Youth Parapan American Games are held every four years, and this is the first time they will take place in Argentina.

The following 10 sports will be contested: athletics, wheelchair basketball, boccia, football 7-a-side, goalball, judo, powerlifting, swimming, table tennis and wheelchair tennis.

Since 2005, the Youth Parapan American Games have provided youngsters with an impairment in the Americas a platform to show their talent and embrace themselves with the Paralympic values.

The first edition of the event was held in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, and attended by 10 countries, while the second edition of the event was held in Bogota, Colombia, and was attended by 14 countries.
