Zebastian Modin Appointed as The Rising Star 2010

Zebastian Modin, the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games bronze medalist in the Men’s 1km Sprint in Cross Country Skiing, has won a major award in his home country of Sweden.

The 15 year old, who has a visual impairment, surprised everyone last year taking bronze behind Canada’s Brian Keever and Nikolay Polukhin who took gold and silver respectively.

To mark his achievement he is the first recipient of Swedish Radio’s Rising Star of the Year award 2010 receiving 10,000 SEK.

He received his prize on Wednesday accompanied by his guide Albin Ackerot.
