He took his first skiing lessons at age four at Petzen, Austria.
Why this sport?
His father was friends with Walter Lackner, who won a gold medal in alpine skiing at the 2006 Paralympic Winter Games in Turin. "I did ski races in school with his [Lackner's] son so my father thought I should try Para ski races."
