When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up the sport in 2013 at the Valley Athletics Academy in Kentville, NS, Canada.
Why this sport?
She used to play wheelchair basketball but was forced to stop due to recurring tendinitis in her shoulders. She took up Para athletics after the sport was suggested to her by her strength coach.

In April 2019 she announced her retirement from the sport. She stated she was content with her achievements, and that she was aiming to spend more time with friends and family. "I know I'm capable and that's all that matters to me now. Medals can't bring me back to the weddings I was supposed to stand in, or the family birthdays I've missed. My humans matter.
