Why this sport?
His family was involved in the sport. "When I was 15 or 16 I played hockey on an able-bodied team. There came a time when my disability didn't allow me to give it my all and that was when I switched to Para sport. At that time my goal was by no means to compete at world level. However, I ended up meeting an athlete with hemiparesis who told me he was going to the world championships and I said, 'If he can do it, I can too'."
