When and where did you begin this sport?
She first took up sitting volleyball in 1991 and switched to shooting a year later.
Why this sport?
She played sitting volleyball and tried shooting because of its need to have good focus. "Shooting requires a great deal of focus and I was very interested in that subject since it was related with my studies in education."

PRIORITISING SPORT
She chose to become a full-time athlete after finding it difficult to combine work and sport. "I got my master's degree in chemistry but unfortunately I couldn't pursue a career in the field. Working and doing professional sport was tough. That's why I had to choose one over the other.
