She began taking swimming lessons at age six.
Why this sport?
"I had swimming lessons from the age of six, and completed those when I was 12. At age 13, with some encouragement from teachers at school, I returned to the swimming pool having found a local club to join. Swimming helps me to stay active and mobile, and has also given me some of the best experiences of my life. I know I will have to retire one day, but right now I enjoy it all too much to let it go."
