When and where did you begin this sport?
He took up swimming at age four at Club Banco Provincia in Santa Fe, Argentina, and began competing at age six.
Why this sport?
He took up the sport as part of his therapy. "I was four years old, and I started swimming after medical recommendations. I felt a kind of freedom, something that in other things of daily life I could not feel. In the water I am free and nobody can tell me what I can or cannot do." He was later spotted by a coach who called him up to national tournaments.
