When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up the sport in March 2004 in Tianjin, People's Republic of China.
Why this sport?
In 2003 the local federation for people with an impairment held a tryout day for potential Para athletes, and her parents thought it would be a good opportunity for her to learn a new skill. She was selected for the Para athletics team and started training in shot put. A few months later, her potential was noticed by a coach from the national powerlifting team.
