Sport specific information

When and where did you begin this sport?
She began skiing at age three and made the national team at age 14.
Why this sport?
She first got into skiing for social reasons, to hang out and race with her friends at the weekends, but at an elite level her cousin was living with a coach from Sweden's para-cross country ski team, so she joined one of their training camps.
Name of coach
Anna Maria Nilsson [national], SWE; Fredrik Uusitalo [national], SWE

General interest

Impairment
She was born with dysmelia, which affected the development of one of her hands. She skis in competition using just one pole, but often trains with able-bodied athletes using a bracket that allows her to hold a second pole. (vk.se, 09 Feb 2010; Vancouver, 12 Feb 2010)
