He took up Para athletics competitively in grade 12 of high school.
Why this sport?
He was introduced to Para athletics by a teacher who was in charge of the athletics team at his high school. He initially competed in able-bodied athletics, but decided to focus on Para athletics after he won gold at a Para athletics event.
