She took up swimming in 2012. She has also trained in figure skating and synchronised swimming.

YOUNG ROLE MODEL

FROM INDIA TO CANADA
Her parents moved to Canada from Mumbai, India when she was age two, along with her little sister Alisha. Her parents chose Canada after much research into where she would be able to obtain the best medical treatment for her arm. (goatoronto.com, 22 Oct 2007)
