When and where did you begin this sport?
She began Para powerlifting in 2016 at the AVA club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Why this sport?
She competed in Para athletics before she became interested in Para powerlifting after attending the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. "I identified with the sport and became passionate about it so I ended up asking my coach for a chance to try it."

Impairment
She has arthrogryposis, which causes a limited range of motion in multiple joints. The condition affected the development of her lower limbs and she used her hands to move around until she was age five.
