He took up Para athletics in January 2017 in Houston, TX, United States of America.
Why this sport?
He wanted to become involved in sport when he moved to the United States of America in November 2016. "My friends in the Ukraine said I was fast and I should try wheelchair racing. When I came to the United States of America my parents encouraged me to give it a try. In the Ukraine, I couldn't do this. After I came here I saw that I can do this here. I have this track and I tried it and liked it."
