Peyman NASIRI BAZANJANI (IRI) took off at the bell of the T20 men's 1500m and, despite being chased hard down the home straight by Polish runners Daniel PEK (POL) and Rafal KORC (POL), always had command of the race over the final lap, winning in 3:58.49. PEK just edged out his compatriot KORC, with the pair posting personal bests of 3:59.45 and 3:39.53.

"For the past 18 months I have been training in Iran with an Asian champion who has guided me. Tonight my only tactic was to maintain my distance, but in the last 100m I gave it my all." - Peyman NASIRI BAZANJANI
