LONDON, 6 September
Mahmoud KHALDI (TUN) set the tone for the evening with a world record in the very first race on the track. He was the favourite for the T12 men's 400m after his performance in his heat and lived up to his tag to win in a world record 48.52, taking 0.1 off a time that had stood to Gabriel PORTA (POR) since 2002.

"It's lovely. This is my third Paralympics. Bronze in the pentathlon (T12) in Beijing and no medal in Athens. This is a good Paralympics." - Mahmoud KHALDI (TUN) said
