HRH Infanta Elena of Spain has long been a supporter of the Paralympic Movement.
She said: I would like to congratulate the International Paralympic Committee on your 25th anniversary. In such a short space of time, you have come such a long way, helping the Paralympic Movement to grow and reach so many people and countries. The Barcelona 1992 Paralympics may have been many years ago now, but the memories we still have of those tremendous Games are as strong as ever. I am extremely proud of what we achieved in ’92, and all of you can be proud of your achievements during the last 25 years. Millions of people around the world owe you a debt of gratitude for the work that you do in providing opportunities for Paralympic athletes to inspire and excite the world. Finally I would also like to wish you the very best for the Games in Rio, PyeongChang, Tokyo and for the coming years. Thank you very much.
