Russia v Czech Republic - International Ice Sledge Hockey Tournament "4 Nations" Sochi

The Czech Republic recorded a thrilling 2-1 victory over Russia in a penalty shootout on Wednesday (28 August) at the International Ice Sledge Hockey "4 Nations" Tournament in Sochi Russia, while current world champions Canada defeated Norway, 5-1.

Jiri Berger scored first for the Czechs in the opening period, and then Nikolay Terentyev countered that with a Russian goal in the second period to even the score. The game remained tied after regulation and overtime, and then Berger was the only one to find the net during the penalty shootout, leaving Russia winless at the event thus far.
