He began swimming at age 12.
Why this sport?
His parents got him involved in the sport. "I always did judo, but didn't like that anymore. My sister also swam and that seemed like something to me. My mother told me then that I had to swim laps, because I actually enjoyed diving. Yet after one training I was completely over."
Training Regime
He trains five days a week at WS Twente in Hengelo, Netherlands.
