Partnerships and Advocacy

Strategic partnerships drive global advocacy, influence policy change, and boost investment in Para sport and disability inclusion.

Making the world a more inclusive place for the 1.3 billion persons with disabilities around the globe is not something the IPC can achieve alone. This is why we work with organisations who are aligned with our vision and share our passion for changing the world.

By leveraging partnerships with UN agencies and other multilateral organisations and platforms to enhance global advocacy for disability inclusion, the IPC will advance national implementation of effective Para sport and physical activity interventions, policies and frameworks. To support this work, the IPC will provide evidence of the societal impact of Para sport and physical activity. Applying best practice examples and policy guidance to support and facilitate the work undertaken by NPCs will lead to improved recognition of Para sport, increased support for Para athletes, and enhanced rights and opportunities for persons with disabilities.

In addition, the IPC aims to support an increase in investment into the Para sport sector by educating governments about its positive societal impact and engaging private sector partners to contribute to the wider Para sport ecosystem.
