Other information
ADAPTING
He struggled to adapt to living as a blind person after he was hit by a stray bullet while he was asleep. He was age 11 when the incident happened. "The hardest thing was accepting my condition. I was very depressed and hardly left the house. With time and the help of the National Association for the Blind I learned to fend for myself to the point of doing everything in the house, giving professional massages, using the computer, singing, and now competing as an athlete."
