Argentina to host third Paralympic National Day

Following the successful first and second editions held in 2014 and 2015, respectively, the third Paralympic National Day will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 30 October.

The event, which aims to raise awareness of Para sports through sporting exhibitions, live music and awards, will take place in the popular Luna Park stadium for a third consecutive time.

Starting at 14:00, an estimated 5,000 people are expected to attend the event, organised by the Argentinian Paralympic Committee (COPAR).

There will be sport demonstrations in football 5-a-side, powerchair football, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis.

“We want the Paralympic National Day to become a classic,” said COPAR President Jose Maria Valladares.

“This is not a competition but a day to celebrate and reflect values through sports.”
