Belgium name equestrian team for Rio 2016

Belgium announced their 4-member equestrian team for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, including two-time London 2012 gold medallist Michele George.

Riding FBW Rainman, the 42-year-old won gold in both the championship and the freestyle grade IV events four years ago, and seeks to reclaim the Paralympic titles this September.

Barbara Minneci, who finished fifth in the team event and sixth in the freestyle grade II in London on her horse Barilla, aims to win her first Paralympic medal in Rio.

Eveline Van Looveren will be making her Paralympic debut on Exellent, whilst Ciska Vermeulen, on her horse Rohmeo, ended fifth in the freestyle grade IV in London and will join her teammates at Rio 2016.

The Paralympic equestrian events will take place between 11-16 September at the Olympic Equestrian Centre.
