Cairo named host for African Goalball Championships
Cairo, Egypt will host the 2013 IBSA Goalball African Regional Championships in October. 31 Jan 2013
The Copper Box will host a series of activities on National Paralympic Day.
The top two men’s teams and top women’s team from the region will qualify for the 2014 IBSA Goalball World Championships, which will be held in Espoo, Finland from 26 June – 6 July 2014.
IBSA announced on Thursday (31 January) that Egypt has won the right to host the 2013 IBSA Goalball African Regional Championships in Cairo from 25-31 October.
The top two men’s teams and top women’s team from the region will qualify for the 2014 IBSA Goalball World Championships, which will be held in Espoo, Finland from 26 June – 6 July 2014.
Algeria’s men’s team was the only goalball squad from Africa to participate at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, where it lost to Turkey in the quarter-finals.
