Ukraine won five of the seven event titles available at the Dansspektakal, which took place in March in Cuijk, the Netherlands.

At the World Championships in Hannover, Germany in 2010, the Sivak’s also became World Champions in the duo latin class 2.

Russia’s Gulnaz Akbasheva and Vtalii Morozov won the mixed combi standard class 2 event in Holland and head out in Moscow to double up on that victory in front of their home crowds.

Fellow Russians Alexander Lyapin and partner Irina Gordeeva picked up gold in 2010 in the combi standard class 2, and will hope to lead the dancers onto the podium once again.

Organised by Russia’s Ministry of Sports and Wheelchair Dance Sport Federation, the Continents Cup will be the fifth anniversary of the event under IPC management. The competition has existed since 1998, but prior to 2009 was called the Saint Petersburg Open.
