“Winning a World Cup race for the first time at Western Center, Ukraine was a big moment for me.”

The 2017 season was one to remember for Eui Hyun Sin.

Having previously played Para ice hockey at an international level for South Korea, and wheelchair basketball and Para cycling at the national level, it was only his second full year of Nordic skiing.

But Sin secured three World Para Nordic Skiing World Cup victories, with the final race taking place in front of his home crowd at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games Test Event.

He also made his World Championships debut, securing medals in both biathlon and cross-country and finished second in the men’s sitting cross-country World Cup rankings.

He shares his three memorable moments from the 2017 season, where he became one of South Korea’s brightest medal hopes for PyeongChang 2018.
