An exhibition was opened in Almaty that highlights some of the nation’s Paralympic medallists from Rio 2016.

An exhibition was opened in Almaty, Kazakhstan, that looks back as some of the nation’s top Paralympians and also at previous Paralympic Games.

Entitled “Olympic Victories History” and with the organisation by the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Kazakhstan, the exhibition includes a stand for Rio 2016 medallists Zulfiya Gabidullina, who won gold in the women’s 100m freestyle S3, and powerlifter Raushan Koishibayeva, silver medallist in the women’s up to 67kg.

The exhibition includes original torches from around 30 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

It was officially opened during the Winter Universiade 2017 that concluded on 8 February.
