FIBT becomes newest IPC recognised IF

The IPC has agreed to extend its continuous support to helping further develop boblseigh and skeleton as para-sports in the coming years.

The International Paralympic Committee has welcomed Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT) as the newest recognised International Federation (IF) of the Paralympic Family.

Based in Lausanne, Switzerland, FIBT governs the sports of bobsleigh and skeleton and recognises 64 national federations.

As a recognised International Federation (IF), FIBT has agreed to the IPC Medical Code, IPC Classification Code and World Anti-Doping Code, and its classification system is constantly being updated and improved to make competition as fair as possible.

The IPC has agreed to extend its continuous support to helping further develop boblseigh and skeleton as para-sports in the coming years.
