The next round of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) NORAM Cup opens on Thursday (16 February) in Kimberley, Canada, with 36 athletes from Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Mexico, New Zealand, Sweden and the USA competing in Downhill and Super G events.

Medal hopefuls include New Zealand’s Paralympic legend Adam Hall in the men’s Standing events and Canada’s sit skier Kimberly Joines, who is continuing her first season back after injury.

IPC Athlete of the Month for December, Canada’s Alexandra Starker, will also be hoping to continue her medal success in the women’s Standing events.

Canada’s Josh Dueck, who has recently become famous for becoming the first sit skier to perform a back flip, is expected to be there. He will be going head to head with podium favourites like USA’s Christopher Devlin-Young in the Super-G and Joe Tompkins in the Downhill.
